Long time no see... Ranunculus

So it's been a while. I had this nasty cold that was going round and it took a bit of time to shake it off and catch up with everything. However, I am back and here are some ranunculus I bought at the weekend. Aren't they pretty? Photographed in natural light and edited in Lightroom and Photoshop - mostly colour adjustments to make them look as bright as they look on my table. :D

There's something so pretty about snail shells. I love the beautiful way the curve around and around. I know, as a gardener I hate the owners of these little houses, too, but this one had been discarded and was empty of any evil doer.

Blue Moon

Blue Moon rose from my garden. It's one of my all time favourites, not only is it big, blowsy, abundant and purple/blue it also has a very intense sweet smell. A few colour adjustments and a subtle texture.

Most of the time my cats just run off or are moving around a lot to make sure I can't get a decent picture of them (except for by accident), however, now and then they take pity on me and pose. Sammie was obviously in a generous mood and sat there, completely still and as perfect as can be. :-)

Cats are so special and these two are even more so. They get up to some amazing, endearing and sometimes annoying stuff. LOL

I managed to catch Sammie and his very cute nose with my new macro lenses.

Ollie is interested in anything that moves (and some things that don't).

There's never a dull moment in the house with two kittens around. Right now Sammie is keeping me company (and making sure there are no spelling mistakes). He's sitting on my computer desk and following my fingers as I type. He just tried to give the picture of his brother on the screen a hug. LOL
