Purple Skull with Moustache

I liked the geometric patterns that are making the rounds at the moment but wanted to do my own, so I did. LOL

Then I used it to create this. The skull is based on a vintage illustration. I created my own 'shape' so I could then play with it because I wanted something simple. I added lots of textures and the elements. All bought or public domain resources.

Edited in Photoshop as always.

Icarus - The Romance Version

A new piece based on my original Icarus - The Yearning. It's one of my favourite images and I thought it was time for an update.

This is a mix of a photo I took of five feathers, which I then edited in Photoshop to look like a painting and overlaid with vintage images of wings and a Delft blue colour. It reminded me of Delft porcelain and the delicate blue designs you find on that.

Blue Moon rose from my garden. It's one of my all time favourites, not only is it big, blowsy, abundant and purple/blue it also has a very intense sweet smell. A few colour adjustments and a subtle texture.

All images/textures/brushes my own or bought. Edited with Photoshop.

All my images are available on Redbubble, Artflakes, Society6and Bluecanvas as prints, cards, posters, skins for laptops, Blackberry, iPhones and other phones (for the skins go to Bluecanvas). You can now also get most of my images on cushion covers (go to Society6 for these).

More experiments with flowers at various stages of dying. I like the faded beauty as much as I like them when they're all fresh and plump. I added textures and colour adjustments in Photoshop. The pictures were taken of the flowers lying flat on a bit of cream cardboard. I only used natural light.

All images/textures/brushes my own or bought. Edited with Photoshop.

Some lavender from last year's summer. I loved the simplicity of it and played around with until it looked like a pinhole image.
