Fear of Butterflies

A mixed media collage of photographs of a peacock butterfly that had been trapped between the two parts of a sash window (and freed after my photo session that really didn't take very long), textures, colour overlays and curve adjustments, and a fake blood image I took ages ago. 

I love butterflies and I am not fearful of them at all, but I wonder how I'd feel trapped amongst lots of them...?

Collaboration between my dear friend Denis Marsili and myself. He started the skull because of a challenge I set him. He'd asked what he should create next, so I suggest a skull, paint splatters and some floral accents. He did the skull and the spattered paint but couldn't do anything with my suggestion of floral accents. So we decided to make it a collaboration. This is what happens when two people get together and have fun. A wonderful experience. :-)

Snail's House

There's something so pretty about snail shells. I love the beautiful way the curve around and around. I know, as a gardener I hate the owners of these little houses, too, but this one had been discarded and was empty of any evil doer.

Red Winter Berries

Red winter berries, taken a week ago. I love that there is still colour, even in the midst of winter, if you know where to look. :-)

Taken today walking home from town. Collage of 5 of my photographs plus textures by Shadowhouse. I love the colours in this one. The images were of Indian ornaments and hangings in a shop window and a graffiti image of a heart on a skip. :-)

Street Life II - Graffiti

Taken today walking home from town. Collage of 5 of my photographs plus textures by Shadowhouse. I love the energy in this one. The images were of several graffiti paintings on a wall under a railway bridge and a graffiti image of a heart on a skip. :-)
