More Snapshots

... this time from Houghton Mill in Cambridgeshire.

The inside of the mill complete with the wonderful golden light you only seem to get in some, usually old buildings.

The mill pond and the lovely wake of the the water splashing out from the huge wheel.

And I finally managed to take some pictures of birds.

The village of Houghton and its gorgeous church.

The gravestones in the church graveyard.

You can just vaguely see the lovely angel in the centre of the gravestone. I took many more pictures and in some way or other they'll probably make it into my art or my stock/texture gallery on DeviantArt. :-)

  1. That mill is an imposing building! I think in days gone by they must have placed buildings in order to utilise all daylight, something no longer done now we have electricity. Glad you finally got some bird pictures!
