Tempest

Do not copy or publish this in any way, shape or form without my written permission.

I was trying to portrait the emotions that sometimes shake us when we have to make a decision and all our choices seem to be bad ones. This is not a matter of  good vs. evil, but just the feeling when you're not sure what to do for the best.

The stock images are of the beautiful

All other images my own including a new brush I haven't posted yet of grungy swirls. Edited in Photoshop.

Here's the cover I worked on at the beginning of the year. The book is coming out in June. Read more about it on Belle's blog and see a write up on the book hookup.

The cover is based on one of my original mock covers - Pure Love available as a print or iPhone case on Redbubble.

I am available for customised book cover designs for Blurb, Create Space, Lulu, Kindle etc. Please contact me for details.

This Is Who We Are

MCN: CR61H-CJ6KN-NQ2N3

Inspired by the stock image itself. I loved the strength in this and the absolute confidence.

For the generation of women who are who they are and who they want to be.

This Is Wonderland

MCN: CU6FY-9CPD3-EVNBL

I've always had a thing about Alice in Wonderland. I love the utter whimsy of it and the way it plays and grows in my head. Here's another interpretation with the lovely Jessica Truscott as the 'centre piece'.

First proper image in a week as I've been ill. :-(

This image partners well with This is the Sea

Pretty Bird

MCN: CAS7W-4SEF2-9TBNX

Inspired by Imelda May's song "You're Smotherin' Me"

See video here:

and read the lyrics to the song here:

The song made me think of the interaction between "the prisoner and the prison guard" (so to speak). The obsessional tendency itself in the "prison guard" creates its own prison until it becomes unclear who holds whom prisoner. I tried to show this ambiguity of cause and effect in the image. Hence the ambiguous title. :-)
