even death has a heart

Someone said 'skull' when I asked what's next. Problem was trying to find a good quote. And I did, this is from 'The Book Thief' by  Markus Zusak. One of my all time favourite books. I have to yet find someone who didn't love it.

Heart & Soul font with bought and vintage (public domain) resources mixed up in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Inspired by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. :D
The image is a mix of the type (font is Skumfuk), which I bought a while ago and was dying to use, and public domain vintage picture of the rabbit, some textures, a little bit of magic (notice the red eyes), and my own blood spatter photograph :D

Edited and mixed up in Photoshop as always.

Fragile (three feathers)

The last in the current feather series. Three mixed feathers shattered. There's something fragile about feathers and birds, maybe it's the hollow bones that allow them to fly. Not sure but I always think of birds as being fragile. Maybe not emus. LOL

This is a combo of lots of textures and my own photograph, edited and mixed up in Photoshop.

Check out the other three feather images in this series in the previous posts.

Still with the feather theme. Five crow feathers in a line made me think of five ravens. There's a story in there somewhere. :D

This is a combo of lots of textures and my own photograph, edited and mixed up in Photoshop.

There is one more to come in the next few days. Available on all sorts of merchandise in the usual outlets - check the links on the right - Redbubble, Society6, Design by Humans, Artflakes, etc. :D

Another a digital collage of images from various (vintage) resources, including some I bought, some which are in the public domain and some from The Graphics Fairy. I added my own flair and and imagination and a little magic to make this.

It was inspired by this quote by Mary Oliver:
"Someone I loved once gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to understand that this too, was a gift."

just another rainy day in paradise

Picture taken in the park a while back through the mesh wire of the tennis court. A combination of two images pieced together with the rain was added at the editing stage.
The quote is by Roger Miller (musician) and the font is Amatic.

The image went with my mood. I've been fighting off a cold (and losing the battle) all week... hence no posts. I was too busy sneezing!

My own images plus free and bought resources.
