New Range - Magic

I've been very busy creating a completely new and different range. I've called it Magic because it looks a bit like threaded spells, if that makes sense to anyone but me... ? I've used mainly natural materials like semi-precious beads and chip beads, shell, but also a few glass beads to get the look I wanted. Some of the necklaces also include copper or silver thread to make it sparkle.

There will be more to come, but this is what I've made so far:

Bone Magic:

This one is MINE, MINE, MINE. And, NO, you can't have it. :-)

I've used lovely silky black thread, a bone pendant, round shell beads, real shells, green turquoise round beads, new and green jade round beads, and a few African jade chip beads. The earrings also include a few opaline vintage beads.

Black Magic:
This is the most wonderful necklace, very, very special. I've used black silky thread as above, but also added some dark silver thread for more interest. The design is random and has a beautiful faceted black onyx pendant to which I've added a couple of silver (plated) wire spirals as a bail. There is a multitude of beads in black made of wood, glass, bone, shell, and onyx chips. I've also added a few small round black plated beads for more texture and a few seedbeads in black and charcoal grey. The finishing touch is a black plated little star charm hanging from a chain next to the fastening.

White Magic:

A lovely, innocent little necklace with a fan shaped mother of pearl pendant with a specially made bail of silver plated wire and shell, new (white) jade and mother of pearl beads. I've used the same beads for the rest of the necklace plus some wonderful hand carved mother of pearl flowers all strung on lovely silky white thread. The finishing touch is a white enamel star charm hanging from a silver plated chain near the fastening.

Wild Magic:

This necklace is shorter than the others but no less pretty. I've used a pendant made of a spiral bead cage with sea glass inside it and a beautiful jade heart dripping of the cage. The rest of the beads threaded onto the silky green cord include green shell chips, green jade beads, dark green and pale green jade chip beads. The finishing touch is the little butterfly charm.

Salamander Magic:

A fiery red necklace with a beautiful round carnelian pendant that has been decorated by mysef with copper wire. The beads - a mix of glass, carnelian, garnet chip beads and red candy jade beads is strung on a red silky cord with bits of copper thread and a lovely copper salamander.

  2. I like the black and white striped shell on your black knotty necklace, we are always on the hunt for unusual shells but have never managed to find one like that, is it from an English beach?
    Penny.
