The Bear

© Sybille Sterk
Do not copy or publish this in any way, shape or form without my written permission.

A little finger puppet that I couldn't bear to part with. I had such lovely memories of the bear, the bear, the bear.... that's what we called him whenever we had a story with him in it. I tried to capture the happiness of the moments we shared with him.

Straight from the camera, no textures just a few colour adjustments.

All images my own. Edited with Photoshop.

Always In My Heart

This is a collaboration with the wonderful Autumnwind
She wrote an amazing poem called Fallen Angel, which you can read here and asked me if I could think of an image to match it.

Now, please before you comment consider this. Both the poem and the image are about love and regret, they are not about inciting a discussion so please comment in the spirit of this intent. All comments that try to incite a hateful/angry kind of discussion will be deleted.

Eyes of Blue - Or Let Me Paint Your Grey Skies Blue - Photo Manipulation

Another dipych-esque image. This time speaking of the need most of us have (there are some exceptions sadly) to ensure the happiness of our loved ones and 'to paint their grey skies blue'.

This is why... - Photo Manipulation

This image was created originally to enter into the Still Life challenge in the Photo Manipulator's group on Redbubble.

I've recently been to a few Battle of Britain events (check out my previous entries in this blog for pictures: Muckleburgh Collection and Audley End) and I used some of the pictures I took at those events to create this still life. When I started I had no idea where it would lead me but it made me think what the Battle of Britain was all about and what the people fought for. Hope it all makes sense. :-)

Heart of Fire

Part of my 'Perception' series.

This altered art is to accompany my poem  Heart of Fire

Others in the series are:

Heart of Stone

Heart of Ice

This time I wanted the heart to have the fluid, ethereal and violent nature of fire.

I've used my own textures and stock together with:

Got to Get Out's Scratch textures

Enframed's Concrete texture

Wu-KillahD's Smoke texture
Shin-Rhys' Fire textures

Neb8stock's Some Old Rock stock image

Khaos Dog's Blood Spatter textures

Buzillo's Grunge textures

and - as always -

Sirius-SDZ's fabulous textures
