Worthy Cause - New Blog: Ups About Downs

My friend Caroline over on Uniqart has just started a new blog: Ups About Downs, where she'll be sharing her experiences, tips and info about bringing up a child with Down's Syndrome.

Caroline has brought up her own daugher with Downs and got her through mainstream school all the way into college and also works as a Learning Support Assistant) in a mainstream infant school. It's a great way to get info that might not be in the books or being readily available elsewhere on the net and I think it's a brilliant idea. Go over and have a look if you're interested. :-)

An Award, for ME! :-)

Caroline, from Uniqart gave me an award this morning. What a lovely thing to wake up to:


And all the lovely things she said about me... My ears are still red! High praise indeed from such a talented artist who can even make potatoes look stylish. :-)

I am going to pass on the award to Toby at Natural Attril. He's a fantastic designer, not only for one so young but on any account. I greatly admire his focus and his business acumen, the latter of which is rare in artists, and he is lucky to have a talented mum who supports his ambitions and creativity.
