Created using both Illustrator and Photoshop, bought resources and my own illustrations and photography. 

Woods are lovely never mind the time of year. This was my take on a Snow White wood where the prince never came to rescue Snow White. Instead red apples grew where she fell asleep in her glass coffin. 

Sometimes life doesn't work out the way you hoped.

A picture I took a while ago to try out a lens. It wasn't quite right so I went to town on it. Now it's probably one of my favourite images from this year. :D

Edited with textures and overlays and lots of curve adjustments and other lovely stuff in Photoshop.

Insprired by the War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells. This was taken a while ago and then edited heavily (colours and tilt-shift blur plus textures) to create the effect. I love the colours and the feeling of being drawn into the image.

We finally have a bit of snow even if Christmas (and therefore a chance of a White Christmas) is long gone.

This reminded me of Snow White. One of my favourite fairy tales.

I love the Game of Thrones series (and, yes, I did read all the books, can't wait for the new one). This image was taken in my garden last week to try out my new wide anlge lens. I had a play with it in Photoshop and that is how it came out after lots of colour adjustments and a few snow textures.

This was an image I took last spring, however it was raining and the image turned out quite grainy. I liked the 'window' effect of the thickett enough though to play around with it and create this. I love the feeling of a magical winter it conveys. It reminds me of Snow White and the Snow Queen.

The Little Match Stick Girl

I've always loved Andersen fairy tales, and this one is no exception, although it's one of the saddest ones (amongst a whole lot of tragedies). The Little Match Stick Girl is about the preventable death of a little girl and still as valid today as it probably was then, what with all the runaways and homeless people on the streets everywhere. I tried to tell the story with the minimal amount of symbols, using nothing but a box of matches in front of a grubby wall and a picture of snow I took a while ago. It's one of my favourite images I took this year so far. I love the simplicity and singular message in it.

Snow Dreams - New Collection

I am not a great fan of Winter unless it’s cold with a blue sky and sun shine…. Here’s my remedy to counteract it, the Snow Dreams collection. Romantic, feminine flower blossoms reminiscent of Spring and Summer in soft, dreamy colours. Who could resist them?

Snow Queen - Photo Manipulation

Illustration from my fairy tale series - see the other images in my gallery. :-) I've always loved Andersen fairy tales since I was little. There's something special, thoughtful about them. Something that explores the grey areas rather than just trying for the black and white... This is one of my favourites. :-)

The New L'Hiver (Winter) Kit is Ready
